Are Sex Scenes a Thing of the Past?
After yesterday’s news that rapper and face-tattoo connoisseur Gucci Mane fell asleep in the middle of his sex scene in Spring Breakers, it’s not all THAT surprising to hear that Hollywood execs are starting to phase out the raunchy sex scenes!
Via Fox News:
Film expert Vincent Bruzzese told the Sunday Times this weekend: “Sex scenes used to be written to spice up a trailer. But all that does today is get a film an adult-only rating and lose a younger audience.
“Today such scenes are written out by producers even before they are shot,” Bruzzese said. “They ask: do we really need the sex? Can we fill the space with dazzling special effects instead and keep the family rating.”
I suppose in a world where people can access any of the hardest core, fetish-filled pornography, maybe simulated relations just don’t sell like they used to? And I guess going to a movie theater with your family and ending up seeing steamy, candle-lit screwing is one of the most uncomfortable situations a teenager can be in. So I get it. I do.
BUT I SWEAR TO THE OLD GODS AND NEW IF THEY TONE DOWN THE SEX IN GAME OF THRONES I WILL FIND WHO EVER IS RESPONSIBLE AND SET A DRAGON UPON THEIR NECK.

Spartacus sex scenes are the best on TV – yes even better than Game of thrones.

Of course they are. Too much hype and most of the time it looks way to rehearsed. Ive never had sex that looked that phony. I think its the effect the camera has on some people. To be honest Id rather have sex myself then watching someone else. Blah!! But I like the excitement that sex brings especially when you know its going to be so great. Got me excited thinking about it now. :-)
