I think it’s time to start giving awards to movie trailers. Specifically, awards for trailers that make the movie look TOTALLY AWESOME even though you’re like, 90% sure it will NOT be awesome. Or maybe it could just be an award for “best deceitful trailer for a shitty movie,” or “excellence in tricking me into paying $14 for two hours of crap.”

For example, think back to the Iron Man 2 trailer, which looked super bad-ass. I saw that movie, though, and it was, how-you-say… notta very-a good-a. It would have won a third award: “best trailer that has the only good parts of the movie in it, everything else was kind of boring.”

I suppose we’ll have to wait until the release of the movie to see what award this trailer will win, but man, right now it’s looking like “most friggin’ rad trailer that makes me super excited,” however I highly expect to be disappointed. What do you think?
