Great Viewer Guide to Today’s Election
IT’S FINALLY HERE. The day we’ve all been waiting for for the past 10 months, with the kind of excitement and joy that can only be felt by people whose mailboxes and phones have been assaulted by recorded messages without relief, and who couldn’t watch one goddamn episode of Modern Family without seeing 12 commercials with Z-list actors telling them they better vote one way or their children will be eaten by sewer people.
That’s right, it’s Election Day 2012! Have you found your polling place? If not, ask the Almighty Google and He shan’t not steer you wrong (BTW, can we just elect Google president?).
Get out there today VOTE, because it’s your right; because so many people in the world aren’t fortunate enough to; because your ancestors went to war so you could; because you’ll get a cute little sticker that might strike up a conversation that could get you laid. That’s right – voting could get you some booty tonight, so just DO IT.
If you’re like me, you’re fairly confused at whole Electoral College/ swing state business, but luckily the fine folks at BuzzFeed created this (admittedly somewhat confusing) infographic to follow tonight as you nervously await the announcement of the President of the United States.
Print this out, get your friends together, and play it like a board game, where if one person gets elected we all become socialist zombies in matching red suits, and if the other does, we revert to a Biblical-age society where the poor will build pyramids to get diabetes medication.
Or everything will stay the same, as always. Who knows.
