Dumb Criminal Alert: Robert and Amanda Larrivee
Let’s all say hello to Robert and Amanda Larrivee. They are brother and sister. On Sunday night, this duo from Springfield, Massachusetts, were caught attempting to steal a television off the wall of the women’s restroom at a local sports bar. Another patron heard Robert and Amanda ripping the TV from its hinges and alerted the manager, who locked them inside so that the cops could be called. When the police arrived and caught them mid-theft, though, they had a tightly-sealed excuse in place.
They weren’t trying to steal the TV, you guys, they were HAVING SEX, DUH.
Unfortunately for Robert and Amanda, though, further questioning lead to the police learning that they were, in fact, brother and sister, and that yeah, they also tried to steal the TV off the men’s room wall. What a interrogation that must have been!
“No, officer, I swear, we were just having sex!”
“Uh huh, and what are your names?”
“Robert and Amanda Larrivee.”
“And are you married?”
“Well…”
SO, now comes the important question. In this case, using the excuse “we were just having sex” was not a reasonable excuse. But is it ever? We could imaging using that excuse if you and a booty call got caught rocking the car back and forth because you were jamming out to Carly Rae Jepsen.
Can you think of any other times “we were just having sex” would be appropriate? Share them in the comments!
