The Most Passive-Aggressive Break Up Text Ever
We’ve all been there: heartbroken, disappointed, self-conscious and a little depressed. Even if it was just a couple dates, rejection hurts. And in a world where the rejection can happen in the form of a ten-word text, it’s even tougher to move on. However, we must adjust to a progressing world, by accepting break ups not with anger and malice, but with an open, compassionate mind, both to the rejector and the rejectee (our poor little fragile hearts). Instead of looking at the negative, we should embrace the rejection as an opportunity to better ourselves and find something better.
Unfortunately, the guy in this next story did none of those things, as shown by his unbelievably passive-aggressive text messages to a lady who “didn’t think there was a connection” on their first date (FIRST!).
Via Gawker:
“Candice is a 31-year-old New Yorker. She met a nice lawyer at a bar and agreed to see The Avengers with him. When she arrived for the date, he was wearing a fedora. The date did not go well.”
The following is the text conversation between the two potential mates… culminating in an “accidental” text to Candice, “meant” for “a friend” and definitely “not about” her.
I’d like to make a scathing judgment about the guy, but in the spirit of being “open and compassionate” I’m going to leave it up to you. What do you think? Was it really an accidental text, meant for a friend? Or is this lawyer dude just a guy with hurt feelings, who has no idea how to express it other than a passive-aggressive text message?
