Did you buy a lottery ticket on Friday? I know I did. Despite the knowledge that the lottery is a “tax on the stupid,” I (and most everyone I knew) threw down a few dollars on the very minuscule chance that I could be a multi-millionaire. Obviously, of course, I didn’t win a dollar, because the only people who win the lottery are people from Podunk towns like Red Bud, Illinois and Millford Mill, Maryland.
