James Justice Wins Slam Dunk Contest
As a fairly short human being – no, let’s be honest – as a freakishly short human being, I am always impressed and proud when I see one of my fellow vertically-challenged compadres succeeding in a field generally reserved for the tall. When Darren Sproles had his impressive season on the Chargers I immediately bought a jersey (5’6!) and when Kate Moss blew up in the model world, I cheered (also 5’6!)!
Last night’s 2012 NCAA slam dunk competition was no exception, when Martin Methodist College’s James Justice (awesome name, ps) destroyed the competition with this final dunk. While the rest of his 6’0 and above competitors made lukewarm attempts at showmanship, Justice, at 5’9, blew away the competition with this through-the-legs shot. #teamSHORT!
