I know that our generation is a bunch of people who, for some reason, really enjoy feeling uncomfortable and awkward and squirmy when they are watching TV and movies. That’s how The Office got so popular, and how this was a viral phenomenon, and how a movie like Borat could be a smash at the box office. For some reason, everyone just loves watching someone else in an awkward situation. Me – not so much. Not at all, actually. Feeling that squirmy, cringing awkwardness that makes your head hurt is straight-up UNBEARABLE for me. So when I saw that the upcoming Sasha Baron Cohen movie had gotten a trailer, I was like, “nope” and forwarded it on to a friend to watch for me.

NEWS FLASH: this movie is NOT AWKWARD! It’s just a silly, goof-around movie starring Anna Faris and Sasha Baron Cohen and it looks pretty funny! I will probably rent this movie 3 months after it goes to DVD from a RedBox outside of a grocery store and fall asleep while watching it! Let’s watch it, shall we?
