OK Gopid
In general, I’m a big fan of the dating site OKCupid.com. They, like us, take a light-hearted approach to online dating, and their fantastic blog uses statistical analysis of their massive member base to help people understand what single people are REALLY looking for in their dating lives.
However, I still have to laugh at this parody by hipster band OKGo, who have become YouTube phenoms with their offbeat, impressive music videos, like their famous treadmill synchronized dance for “Here It Goes Again” and mind-blowing mechanism video for “This Too Shall Pass”.
OKGopid rides on the tail of the video for “This Too Shall Pass,” using a mini-mechanized device to find potential matches for its “members.” Although we’re not sure if it’s just a silly parody video or a gentle rib at dating site’s use of algorithms to match its members, it definitely got a giggle out of us.
