Confession time: I am not a fan of Nicki Minaj. I think her voice sounds like a mouse being cheese-grated to death. I appreciate that she’s a talented rapper, but every time one of her songs comes on Pandora I can’t get to the stop button fast enough. She’s just UNBEARABLE, and the way she walked into last night’s Grammy awards proved that.

Yep, that’s her, in the weird Versace Couture robe, walking on the red carpet with a fake pope. Creepy? Yes. Unnecessary? SUPER YES. Obnoxious and kind of makes me want to punch her? Yes, a million times yes.

And don’t get me wrong, I’m an equal-opportunity hater. I’ve been irritated by Lady Gaga’s out-of-control “if I’m crazy enough people will pay attention” thing for years, so I have a feeling that they are now in some sort of competition to figure out who can inspire the most “WTF”s in one lifetime. Lady Gaga does a weird bondage photo shoot. Nicki Minaj gives Steve Nash a super creepy lap dance! Lady Gaga comes to the Grammys in an EGG! Nicki Minaj wears a fried chicken necklace! Who is winning? I don’t know, I can’t keep count anymore.

Nicki’s weird religious thing continued throughout the night when she performed her song, Roman Holiday, where she simulated an exorcism? Or something? I assume it was an exorcism but I can’t tell because you’d think an exorcism would rid her of that Satanic voice.
