This is Your Brain on an Orgasm
Remember yesterday when we were trying to figure out a way to make women enjoy and want sex more? Well if this video isn’t a good example, then I don’t know what is. This series of shots, courtesy of VisualMD, shows exactly what happens in the female brain during orgasm. By hooking two women up to an MRI machine and taking snapshots of the before, during, and after of an orgasm, they were able to see some incredible images of the brain during a successful romp in the hay.
According to the HuffingtonPost,
The color scale, which ranges from dark red to light yellow, represents the amount of oxygen that is being utilized in that section of the brain. As the orgasm reaches its climax, the image lights up.
Komisaruk recently presented his research at the Society for Neuroscience in Washington, DC, although it hasn’t been published in a peer-reviewed journal. He hopes that his work will not only allow scientists to understand why some men and women have trouble achieving orgasm, but also understand our body’s reaction to pleasure as a whole.
If that’s not the best kind of research there is, then I don’t know what is!
