Ah yes, the sweet sweet return of Dumb Criminal posts, how I have longed for thee. Nothing… not Chris Brown being called gay, not cow nipple couture, not even Marion Barber eating the turf makes me as happy as a short and sweet idiot criminal alert. And today’s is a doozy.

Kraig Stockard was shocked and appalled when 50 CDs were allegedly stolen from his barn (BARN!) back in September by some rascal teens, so he did what any normal guy would do – he let it go because who the hell even owns CDs anyway– he reported it to the police. Unfortunately, Kraig Stockard was not a “normal guy.”

Deputies said a juvenile and a 19-year-old who broke in and stole the CDs — about 50 of them, thinking they were blank — and later brought them home.

When the pair asked a family member to upload some music onto the discs, the relative popped in one of the CDs and discovered the child pornography, deputies said.

The finding prompted the pair to contact the Sheriff’s Department and explain the situation, according to the news release. Deputies then checked all the stolen CDs and found more than 30 of them contained child porn images, they said.

Sigh. Sometimes I think there might be something a little off about myself. People will be having a normal conversation and instead of partaking I find myself thinking about my escape plan if a shooter enters the building. Or I’ll be sitting at home watching TV and I’ll realize I’ve been talking – out loud – to myself for the past two hours. I’m pretty weird, and I understand and accept that. But lovely, wonderful Dumb Criminal reports like this make me realize that no matter how weird I am, at least I’m not as dumb as this chick and this dude and this idiot. We’re all doin’ okay, guys. We’re all doing okay.
