According to AP, a young woman in Chetumal, Mexico, was detained after looking slightly suspicious carrying a large, bulky suitcase after a conjugal visit her husband in prison. According to the NY Daily News, when the guards examined the suitcase Maria del Mar Arjona was struggling to pull, they found her husband Juan Ramirez Tijerina curled up in the fetal position and stuffed in the suitcase.

Tijerina, who was in the midst of a 20 year sentence for illegal weapons possession, was carted right back to his cell, but not after cops snapped this incredibly embarrassing photo of him, dirty socks and all. His wife is now facing prison time too for assisting an attempted escape. So, remember: reason #22,608 not to get married: a “favor” might end up sending you straight to the big house.
