I promised myself that I would never cite the National Enquirer as a legitimate source. I mean, Star Magazine, sure. Us Magazine, yeah, why not… you know, even TheDailyMail, which is like the UK’s most trashy website ever sometimes has legit stuff. But The National Enquirer? The magazine that says Oprah is secretly a lesbian and made us all believe that a boy could have the face of a bat? NEVER.

Until now.

The most recent National Enquirer bombshell, which claims to have caught NBC anchor Chris Hansen, on camera, in the middle of a steamy night out with a Florida news anchor 20 years his junior, may just be the truth. According to the story, The National Enquirer set up a sting after being tipped off that Hansen might be having an affair, and caught the “To Catch a Predator” star with Floridian news anchor Krysten Caddell, first having dinner before returning to her apartment for the night.

The irony of the whole situation is that Hansen has made a name from himself outing pervy old dudes who try to sleep with young girls. His classic “why don’t you take a seat” line is a meme in itself, and his face is about as guilt-inducing as you get. And yet, He Who Makes Men Ashamed may be harboring a deep, dark, shameful secret of his own!
