While in America, people are finally realizing marriage isn’t mandatory, in China, a woman almost died for it. According to the New York post, Li-Wan, the young woman in the video above, was so heartbroken when she found out that her fiance called off their wedding that she decided to don her wedding gown and jump out of a window 80 ft from the ground.

The 22 year old woman from the Jilin Province was shocked to hear that her fiance had actually married another woman just days before the two were scheduled to be wed. Sitting in her gown in a window in her apartment building, Li-Wan claimed she couldn’t live without her boyfriend.
